Human Resource Mangament (AKA Time)

Regardless of our potential, we are constantly aware of one resource which is a problem particularly in the United States. Time is constantly ticking against us with deadlines, errands, assignments. Even in musicals we are reminded “525,600 minutes” comprises a year. But what this song does shed light upon, is how do we measure a year? As time has progressed greater technology and time management skills have allowed us to organize and react to the present. Should time and its seconds be an enemy or is there a possibility of it releasing its grasp on society?

Observations within society demonstrate one's occupation is just a way to get money, there is often little enjoyment or self identification with this career. Bachelors are not at the same level, currently there is a shift with education. The mentality seen in any society has an importance or stress on success as well as productivity.
.
In the diagram from Zaugg, Blum, Thom 2001, Model of a Sustainable HRM, which demonstrates the complex matrix components involved in any individual's work life and that influence mentality. This diagram addresses the three ingredients to maintain sustainability: work-life-balance, individual responsibility, and employability with respect to development and professional agility.

In a Mykolas Romeris University study in 2008, the comparison of objectives of “human resource management” included analysis of European companies, generally compares the overall components of the workplace. Data indicates that the Netherlands has a relatively successful enactment of this business approach. The analysis with respect to management and leadership indicate that 80% of European countries use participative management styles but do not implement superior assessment (enhance sustainability in model). However, there are many issues within America's horizon.

Companies will take away vacations, and personally my family has not vacationed since Disney at age 5. Maybe taking some time to relax and enjoy a few sunsets will brighten our attitude and could possibly positively impact the workplace and therefore productivity. So I will stop here, yet the necessity to circulate and generate this new time mentality will never terminate.

There are solutions which can be done with respect to business, but should business become more personal, or should we compartmentalize in order to achieve as much as possible. Culture Sculpture is a time management resource for businesses whether small or large to enact change within the system.
